After posting the original story on The Art Bell and “Bugs” story yesterday, I received the following email from a blog reader. Thanks to Robert for agreeing to allow me to post it for your consideration!

I have studied the “Bugs” story after hearing it on Art Bell as an archived show some years back. I have discussed this numerous times with Robert W Morgan who was on the show with “Bugs.” Additionally, I have discussed the issue on Rob McConnell’s X-File Radio. Mr. Morgan and I even took out a full page ad in McConnell’s X-Zone Newspaper asking “Bugs’ to contact me if he indeed was “real.” As anticipated, we never heard a thing from anyone alleging to be “Bugs.” I had really just filed the story away as yet another dead end in the search for undeniable proof.
About 1 year ago a friend of mine was working in Baton Rouge, La at one of the chemical plants. He and I were on the telephone talking “Bigfoot” when the subject of Bugs came up. One of my friend’s co-workers overheard parts of our conversation. When we got of the phone, this co-worker asked my friend, “How do you know about ‘Bugs’?” When my friend started telling his co-worker the story, the co-worker interrupted and actually finished the story telling my friend, “I know Bugs and I know the story is real and I know those creatures are real too.”
My buddy called me the next day to tell me about the conversation with the co-worker. I insisted that he set up a meeting with the co-worker so I could meet him and get more information about the “Bugs” story. As always seems to be the case, the co-worker was “nervous” about getting involved and did not want to reveal the true identity of “Bugs.” I kept insisting on a meeting. Finally, we scheduled a meeting. 2-3 days before I was to meet with this co-worker, he quit showing up for work and my friend never heard from him again.
As an aside, my friend is convinced that the co-worker knew something. Unfortunately, what that “something” is we likely will never know.
I truly hope that someone gets to the bottom of this story one day. Fact or fiction, I would just like to know the truth.
Keep up the great work. One day you will find undeniable proof of the existence of the Forest Giant People, as Mr. Morgan fondly refers to them.
