This is the last blog post I plan on this topic. I generally prefer to talk about bigfoot rather than bigfootery. But there are some things I’d like to share with you which may offer a bit of perspective.
Soon after I began the Oregon Bigfoot blog, Linda Newton-Perry offered to guest blog here. I politely declined. Shortly after, she began her own blog: Bigfoot Ballyhoo.
I’ve bit my tongue until it’s bled. Sorry… can’t do it anymore.
Apparently, there has been quite an uproar for some time now regarding some purported Bigfoot photos taken by a team of little-known bigfoot researchers near Sru Lake here in Oregon.
It all began several weeks ago, when a local gal by the name of Linda Newton Perry (she lives a stone’s throw down the road from me, if you’re throwing rural stones) began reporting on her blog, Bigfoot Ballyhoo, that a team of field researchers led by a man named Bill Emery had captured “clear and compelling” images of a Sasquatch.
Resurrecting an old piece of footage… but it isn’t about the footage. It’s about the song. Thanks to Myles for sharing this.

Winter’s Wonderland

Good morning. :)
As I attempt to steer this blog towards a new direction, I’d like to begin by sharing with you an eyewitness encounter that was sent to me via email.
Certain details shared by this witness stand out to me: particularly, that Thom felt he found evidence of a small family unit using a natural “den” for shelter. This has been corroborated by the gentleman I’ve been working with who has observed individuals at length, though the actual structure of the shelter itself differs due to the difference in vegetation between the two locations.
For those of you who understood that the title “professional suicide” was tongue-in-cheek and said simply to make the point that there would be those who would consider it such, that I am not “leaving the bigfoot community” but simply changing my focus, that I’ve stayed quietly in my little corner of the world for years and have only come forward now because I believe in this, that my intent was to present a powerful message in support of witnesses, that the frustration you heard simply echoes that of dozens of witnesses I’ve spoken with over the years – a frustration that I have shared – that I was not intending to attack the peers who have been my friends for years but rather present a challenge to those particular researchers who found something in there that hit home enough to irritate them, and that none of this is done lightly, or as a means of “creating hype” for a book that isn’t even finished yet (because what’s occurring at this very moment is relative to and part of the story) or for the purpose of marketing or profiteering, but was an attempt to put into context what I am about to share with you…
It’s been two weeks since I’ve blogged. My grandfather is seriously ill, I’ve been dealing with a perpetually sick kid and personal medical issues and aside from that life has been… well… a living hell.
In the midst of all of this, I’ve still been struggling with some of the things that I alluded to in earlier posts, but I haven’t really had time to deal with. But I’ve finally, I think, come to terms with it.
Or are these the most extensive recordings of Sasquatch screams ever? In today’s blog, I’m taking you on an extensive journey to determine whether the sounds we’re calling “sasquatch” are those of an unknown primate – or simply misidentified coyote calls.

“Squeaky”, apparently, is a Bigfoot which Michael D. Greene claims to have filmed using a thermal imaging camera. The BFRO released this low-res version of the footage on their YouTube channel a couple of days ago.

Could Big Foot be in Polk County?

It is for those who claim they have seen the elusive ape-like creature roaming the woods and swamps of Florida including Polk County’s Green Swamp. Sightings of the animal have been reported around the world but rare, with quality photographs and videos even rarer.
Bigfoot and Sasquatch are names familiar to North Americans who have aggressively pursued evidence of the animal’s actual existence. As of this date only occasional sightings have been reported within any given year with no physical evidence ever found, other than hair samples whose DNA does not match that of any known animal.
Yesterday, I posed a question and asked all of you for feedback. I got it in spades, and I want to thank each and every one of you for your thought-provoking replies and the time it took to craft them.
The question was this:
Would you still want [information that would help explain the nature of Bigfoot], knowing that I will NOT provide you with anything that will constitute “proof”, because I’m afraid of what would happen if I did? Will you allow me to appease your curiosity while protecting the subject of your interest?
… the things that are going on right now.
A few months ago, something happened that changed my life, changed the way I look at this phenomenon. It has affected me deeply and I’m not sure I know which way to turn.
Because all of you have been with me since the inception of this blog, and some of you have been by my side as members and friends much longer than that, I feel the need to reach out to you now and ask for your input.
If I’m vague, I’ll apologize in advance. I can’t be more specific right now.

OK… first of all, this blog is a place where I can share news and information. From time to time, I’ll also share an opinion or two. As most of you know, I’m not one to come to snap judgments about purported “bigfoot” images. I tend to take my time, weigh the images and any addition information that is available carefully, and if I do share an opinion about it, it’s based on what I’ve examined so far. My opinions, or any tentative conlcusion that I come to, are always subject to change based upon new information.
