It seems that almost everyone has a weblog these days. Except me. It’s amazing that someone who works with computers on a daily basis wouldn’t have joined the blogging revolution until now. But I hadn’t. I dabbled a little, I guess. But nothing serious.
I had the Oregonbigfoot.com newsletter to help me stay in touch with all of you. What more did I need? Except, the newsletter took DAYS to ready for publication, and with a two year old, I do not have days. Or even hours. So I’ve decided that maybe a blog is a bright idea after all. So I’m trying it.
The monthly newsletter will likely be forthcoming again. However, those of you who have discovered the blog may find some of the newsletter content to be redundant. The blog will give me an opportunity to work on updates in short spurts (which is all I can do at this point) and the culmination of that work each month will likely be published in newsletter format as well, for those who haven’t figured out the RSS thing yet.
Soon, I’ll begin sending out the newsletter again every month. But this blog will give me an opportunity to keep the site updated more frequently and to post quickly about those things that are timely.
Welcome to the digital age, Autumn. What’s next? An internet radio show?
Nah. There’s enough of those to choke a small herd of horses already. :)
Now for the news… Rowan and I are finally moved into the house I’ve been remodeling for almost four months. You can see pics here. I finally got a chance to sit down and complete an update to the members’ section today, which includes an update to member Jeff’s field research journal, complete with photos and video files of his latest foray into the field in Arizona. Good stuff.
If you’re not a member, you can join here. At last count there were:
Documents and articles: 131+ pages
(these include historical documents, FBI freedom of information files regarding Bigfoot, eyewitness sketches, exclusive and detailed eyewitness reports and other evidenciary files)
Video Files: 52+
(these include purported Sasquatch footage, much of it exclusive, eyewitness interviews, and footage from our research trips)
Audio Files: 82+
(These include MANY bigfoot audio recordings not found anywhere else, eyewitness interviews and more)
Photographs: 394+
(these include purported Bigfoot photos, track photos, tree breaks, and multiple other evidenciary photos. Nearly ALL are exclusive)
In case you’ve ever wondered why I have a members’ section that requires a membership fee… that’s why. Oregonbigfoot.com receives about 50,000 unique visitors a month. If I tried to host all of this on the public site, I’d be shut down within hours for exceeding bandwidth. But if you join now, for a measly $4.95 a month, you can check it all out!

You did an AMAZING job at remodeling that cabin, it is absolutely gorgeous. And the fact that it’s in Douglas County makes it even more wonderful. Good job!
