Holderman
Mountain Report
Bob
and I went up on Holderman Mountain to camp. We set up the
tent, ate and made some coffee (no fire due to fire season).
While we were sitting around, a deer came by and made a
blowing sound. It really startled us, especially Bob, since
he's never heard that before. Also, a buzzard flew really
low overhead. Strange how animals come so close every time
we camp...
We
talked about turning in for the night but both of us had
a very strong feeling that we shouldn't stay there. I can't
describe it, other than it was a definite kind of "GET
OUT" feeling. Bob became so apprehensive that he began
packing things up - he wouldn't tell me what had him so
afraid until he had finished packing and we were safely
in the Jeep.
He
explained that the area and the things that were happening
were eerily similar to a dream he'd had in which a BF had
come up to his tent and said a name, loudly, in English.
He said it was something like "Brent Johnson",
but not exactly. (I asked him much later if it could have
been Matthew Johnson, and he said yes, but that was strange
because the dream had happened a couple of months before
the Johnson sighting at Oregon Caves).
The
voices came from this stand of trees |
The
whole time we were there and he was packing up we'd been
hearing voices come from a stand of old growth timber...
murmuring, laughing voices, unintelligible, sometimes high-pitched,
as if some campers were just over the hill. But we knew
there were no roads over there because we had scouted the
entire mountain earlier!
We
also heard several loud THUMPS, one of which sounded like
someone dropped a large piece of plywood (?). When we finally
decided to leave, we drove about 1/2 mile down the road
and turned off the Jeep because we heard a loud branch break
next to us. We could still hear the voices, just as plainly!
Bob and I stopped one more time, still heard the voices,
and decided to get the heck out of there. We both felt very
strange for the rest of the night. I posted my experience
to the Bigfoot list and found that many others have had
similar experiences in conjunction with Bigfoot encounters!
This
area is about 10 miles from Bohemia Mines.
