REPORT DETAIL
Description of event: Event occurred at Cook Creek Park, 8-10 miles south of Spruce Run Park, Nehalem River. Walt, standing near the spillway which concealed noise, looked up and saw 100 yards away a small black creature, less than six feet tall, on the bank of the river, turning rocks over, then shelling and eating crayfish. They saw one another about the same time and the creature lunged from where he was and ran up the hill into the woods. Walt found broken crawdad shells, some with meat and shells of fresh water mussels.
