REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: Me and a friend went out to explore the wilderness and beauty of the Weed/Lake Shastina areas. Being tourists, we didn't know much about directions and didn't feel a need to ask around. We went out about 8 to 9 miles into a woodland, and stopped for a quick water break. In the woodland, it was a little darker. After about 5 minutes of lounging on some rocks, we started to hear faint shrieks. Later i learned that these matched to the Klamath sound recordings. We became very scared and waited a while, and they subsided. But after about 10 more minutes, we heard a rustling in the nearby brush. Shortly after that, we began smelling an unknown and putrid stench. We started to leave the area, becoming very frightened. On the way back, we heard some more rustling and then we saw it. It looked to be about 8 feet tall, but that was hard to judge seeing as it was croutched in the brush. It was large and hairy all over. Me and my friend began to run, and were frightened very badly. When we got out of the woods we were extremely relieved. This was definately a bigfoot or sasquatch. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to Weed, California any time soon.
