Description of event: My girlfriend and I were staying in an unmarked campsite. At about 7:30am rocks began flying and our campsite was being circled by something banging a stick agains trees. I got out of our tent and started to walk towardsthe sound armed with a .357 pistol. The closer I got, the farther it went away. I fired a round into the ground and it stopped all together. It came back about 10min later just as we finished packing up our stuff to leave. There were no other people in this area for miles.
