ABOUT
THE ARTIST:
I was born and raised in the state of West Virginia, which
is filled with majestic mountains, lush forests, and beautiful
rivers and woodlands.
Growing up here has given me an appreciation of nature's beauty
and wildlife in all forms. I began to draw at an early age
and by the time I was in the 1st grade I amused my teachers
by filling the back of my test and lesson papers with sketches,
mostly of monsters that I'd watch on Saturday Late Show movies.
I kept developing my art skill through grade school and high
school art classes but my formal training stopped there.
I've never gone to art school, taken art in college, or even
taken classes for the software I use to create my digital
paintings. I taught myself how to do that by trial and error,
which at times was very frustrating, but gives me great satisfaction
now when someone compliments my art because I know just how
hard I had to work to achieve those results. I work a regular
day job and my art is actually my hobby. I've done some professional
pieces for clients but I prefer being my own "art director",
that way the piece looks the way I want it to in the end.
I've always been interested in anything cryptozoological,
and while on my journey to adulthood I was constantly looking
for new info regarding Bigfoot, Yeti, Nessie, or Champ as
well as any other mysterious creature that might
pop up somewhere in the world. My favorite has always been
Bigfoot though. I'm not sure why but I've always had a fascination
with this elusive creature.
From the time I was a child, up to today I've never doubted
in its existence, and I have always believed in Sasquatch
even though I have never been lucky enough to see one myself.
Now I try to paint these amazing creatures as I've come to
imagine them from reading the countless sighting reports and
any books or watching shows about them on TV. I paint them
for myself, and for anyone else that has an interest in them.
I hope all of you enjoy my paintings as much as I've enjoyed
creating them. There will be more pieces in the future so
please stop back again.
Thanks for taking time to view my art. Be well.
