From reading the accounts about the eyes. I believe what I saw almost two weeks ago in Valley county in the Ruby Meadow area to be eye shine. It was yellow but it almost looked like a flash light that had a low battery. It wasn't bright at all but it was visible. Then we heard something similar to a Klamath scream in the same area at about 6am. I came through the same area about 90 minutes later and I could still hear the scream but it was very faint. It goes to show what the range on the scream is. Wow! If this thing is moving away from me and I can still hear it 90 minutes after the initial scream thats a range that no other animal has.

I still have yet to figure out what I experienced in Naches area of WA near (6/08) Bumping Lake. I saw a single oval shaped red light. It danced or swayed as it moved to the ground just as the yellow light did but it was much brighter and it lit up the surrounding area well. It was baseball sized or maybe a bit larger and the two yellow lights were much smaller. When I shined my flashlight in the same area there was nothing there. I looked through the thermal imager and didn't see anything either. The yellow light also looked like two single bulbs as the red one was single. I was told later by others that a figure around 6'6 or so could be seen observing me from below in small group of trees.

Seeing the red light also had a profound effect on me like nothing I've experienced and thats another story entirely. Im currently reading Hunt for the Skinwalker and much of the parallels that Tom Gorman discusses I experienced shortly thereafter.

I'm trying to find out the difference in eye shine and what I experienced last summer. It only leads to more questions but its good for research. Any light that can be shed is very much appreciated.

Laurie,
I was most interested in your comment about the way the eyes are sunken in and how the brow ridge makes it difficult to see their eyes during the day time. I experienced this once and also, my daughter, Susan, has too. I am glad to hear that someone else has had this same experience. I have also filmed their eye glow at night on several occasions. The colors of eyes mentioned in Autumn's blog are interesting also. Susan once heard something behind her and turned to see a male with beautiful gray eyes and this was during the late evening. She had no trouble seeing the eyes on this one. She was under trees and he was squatting near some heavy brush a few feet away. Maybe direct sunlight makes it more difficult to see their eyes?

Darlin'!! thanks for this ongoing flow of communication, inspires me to crank up my own blog again...
And... what I wish is, would you be willing to enlarge your blog typeface one notch, and crank up the contrast a whole lot? I could barely make out the quoted texts.
"Thanking you in advance for your consideration of this matter"...

[Editor's reply: Hi Ayala! I was already considering it. Mom was complaining about the difficulty in reading it, too! It's on the to-do list! :)]

I have never seen the face although I have had numerous encounters. They seem to deliberately turn their faces from me. Two years ago I encountered one who faced me about 30 feet away. His brow ridge shadowed his eyes, eventhough it was high noon, all I could see was dark hollows. I could not make out the eyes. I have seen much eye shine at night so I know they are not afraid to look at me in the dark. I long to engage eye to eye during the day, maybe someday I will.

Very interesting blog today.........I am a wildlife artist and since I've been drawing the Sasquatch with help from Sali (& her wonderful book "Valley of the Skookum") and Autumn's input as well & reading these and other accounts, I have changed the look I have given them, especially the eyes! I've had this ambition of drawing and painting Bigfoot from eyewitness accounts. I have a few renditions to get the eyes right as Sali had seen and she told me I was very very close : ) If anyone else would like to have me do a sketch of what they saw (close-up or not) I would very much like to work with them ala 'police sketch artist' over the phone or email to get what they saw on paper/canvas! I find the subject of the eyes and other facial features, a particularly interesting and enlightening subject. That unknown sketch has a very similar look to the one I painted; especially the eyes. I am also working on a series of small statues of the Sasquatch (and NOT the familiar 'Patty' stance either, as if that is the only way to portray them!!!) to show what people have seen in a more 3 dimentional way. Who knows, maybe I will start a bust/head study of one as a life size sculpture, thus showing the eyes round and deepset..........hmmmm gets the art juices flowing.

The Leif Erikson account I was not aware of. Very cool considering the long history of accounts we seem to uncover with time.

Sean,

Did you notice anything about the shape or appearance of the eyes? When you describe them being like a cat's eyes, is that simply the color or are you indicating that there was a "lens" (like the convex lens on a cat's eye that gives it added "depth")?

Thanks!

Autumn

Autumn I had an eye to eye stare with one in 2005 and its eyes were a golden almost like a cats eyes mine was at a distance of 30 yards and lasted only a few seconds as when it realized I saw it, the squatch simply turned and walked away into the tree's
