Sali, I didn't physically see one til last year. Ever since I was a kid though, I've seen things at ponds and in the woods that always threw up ? marks and no clear answers at all. I've had the feeling of being watched before many times and always prided myself for being able to find a deer or wolf or raccoon watching me intently upon looking around. There's been a few times though I had the feeling of being watched and couldn't locate or see anything watching me. Was it the hairy folks? Can't say, but after watching a tornado touch down 50 feet from me at age 18 and not get taken up in it, then a lightning strike that threw me across the room at 23...........lets just say that not much surprises me at this point in life. 0-)

Sorry Roger, there's no bears in this part of Texas. That photo was taken on July 29th 2008, the fall time berries weren't in yet. The area I'm in is only about an hour and a half north of Houston. The neighbor and my family have had vegetables come up missing off the vine with no evidence of a possum or coon or deer present near the gardens and plenty of pears get taken as well. I've bought 30lbs of sunflower seeds before and left them out there......come back the next morning and they're completely gone.

Bottom photo looks like a small brown bear.

Nibbling berries? This is the time of year
they are finishing gorging themselves prepping for
hibernation. When the food in the deep
woods is gone or scarce for some reason,
ranging for food in the lowlands
is not uncommon.

IMO there is definitely something there. It not only changes position but location as well. I tried to do some enhancements it but it is so dark I wasn't able to pull much detail out of the photos. I sent them to Autumn anyway, she can post them if she wishes.

No flack here, Tookra. I don't have the talent to pick apart photos, but I believe you saw what you saw. Your statement about it being THEIR choice, not your's, is correct. From what I know, Sas choose who they wish to make contact with. It takes a certain kind of person to interact with them. Trust is a big deal.

I'm curious as to whether you had experiences there as a child? I'm also wondering about the experiences your neighbors have had. Has all this been going on for a long time?

Thanks for sharing with us.

P.S. Please forgive the grammatical typing errors at the end of my post. I think everyone makes them from time to time.
