Description of event: Informant said that a 1980 issue of the St. Helens Chronicle newspaper, OR, had a report from one mile south of Goble, OR, Hy. 30 near Rainier. The creature left a heel-mark in a salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis) patch, and many of the bushes had been stripped of berries. Ten inch long, light brown hair was collected from a barbed wire fence. It was coarse, like fish line. The dark headed creature had walked over the fence.
