Location: I truly can not tell you the exact location. It was a long time ago on a trail I use to hike and only know the directions by memory. I can't remember details on how to get that trail. I do remember how to get there once in the area.

REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: I was talking an evening hike on a known trail with a few friends, a trail we hike quite often. We were so familiar with the trail that we would hike at night and we never used a flashlight. One night we took our familiar hike and half way through the hike we heard heavy breathing and large foot step stride's in the distance. The foot steps we made in a two stride, not four. At first we tought we thought is one of other friends playing a joke. When we relized that everyone was accounted for in our group we started to get nervous. We heard the foot steps and heavy breathing get closer and we all sstarted to run along trail. The steps came closer and crossed our trail. We did not see anything, but heard the movement switch from our left to the right. It followed us for awhile till we got really scared and pick up the pace the rest of the way, untill we reach the end of the hike. Afterward, we talked about the experiance and we came to the conclusion that the time between the steps were made by something or someone very large. Given the visiablity of the evening the and running full stride in a dense forest, something even we could not do with falling, we knew the was something else with that night. Has the been any other sasquatch sight in the small town of Idyllwild, CA.?
