Description of event: Camping with friends. I went for a walk..was followed by something. Later it WALKED up to me and stared from heavy cover, then brocked a large (5 inch diameter)branch to warn me. I looked away and sat with it for 15 minutes before I felt it was safe to get up and go back to friends. We left campsite for the night. We drove back to Bend where we found the evacuation in progress for the Awbrey Hill Fire! We had no idea the fire was happening when camping.
