Conditions: cool, snow on top of mountain and also during summer months
Time: early afternoon
Location: Drive up the road that leads to the top of Flagstaff Mountain, and keep going until road ends above Gross Reservoir, after last house on road. This took place in 1970's, and road and residential area has since changed and grown.

REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: I had driven some friends up to the top of the mountain overlooking Gross Reservoir on its North side, I believe, to show them the view, etc., as they were from out of town. As we were walking towards the edge of the overlook, I noticed in about 1-2 ft of snow, large human like footprint tracks, unlike any I had ever seen. (I have lived in the mountains and my ex was very familiar with different wildlife, etc...so I feel as though I am familiar with most animal tracks such as bear, deer, elk, mountain lion, bobcat, raccoon, dog, etc.) The stride between them was what impressed me - the stride was at least 4-5 feet. The friends with me at the time saw them also, but were very skeptical of my opinion that they were sasquatch tracks. I had a sighting in the summer of 1969 in southern Wisconsin while camping on a lake, and had previously heard what I now know as "wood knocks" in the Gross Reservoir area while fishing and hiking in the early 70's. I also have had the feeling of being "watched" several times while hiking - it is a very strong feeling, as if to warn me of another presence.
