Description of event: Logging crew of XXXX and XXXX was crossing bridge to go up weaver ridge Rd.
About 1/2 mile in on road we spotted a large animal in road. We stopped crew wagon and watched a very large creature looking at us. It was covered with light blackish hair and was about 7.5 to 8 feet in height. It walked off road on 2 legs and then let out a scream like a elk would.
We all got out of crew wagon and could smell a bad odor like heavy sweat would smell like. It made much noise at it walked into deep forest, cracking brush (etc).
We called our boss on company radio to tell him what we had seen. He told us to go to job site at wait for sheriff's office to send someone up but they never came.
