Hwy 26, 4 miles past Camp 18. Heading from the coast to Portland,Or.
Description of event: I was driving from the coast to Portland. 4 miles past Camp 18 restaurant, in a gravel pull off area, I noticed a large creature with long reddish brown hair with a human like figure. I was driving a tractor trailer and my view of sight is around 8.5 to 9 feet. This creature was about 8.5 feet tall and very bulky. I was driving about 50 mph,so I could'nt make out a face; just the long hair. I knew right away this couldn've been any of the local bears in the area. This was too large to be a bear. I was thinking of going back,but I was too scared to go back. It probably left the area anyway.
