REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: My friend and I went up to Cordova Pass to take some pictures of changing aspens. It was an outstanding day for it the weather was clear and the air was crisp. I kept stopping the truck at different points and getting out and take pictures.

We then came around a bend in the road and I thought I saw something move on my right, my friend said she saw something on the left. We didn’t think too much about it at the time. I drove another 20 yards or so and stopped to take a picture of the road straight ahead of us due to the way the sun was hitting the aspens. I got out of the truck and walked a few feet down the road when I felt a strange feeling like we were being watched. Then at that moment I smelled the worst smell I have ever smelled. It was like skunk, wet dog and rotten meat all rolled together. I turned to my friend and waved for her to get out of the truck. She too smelled the foul odor.

It was at that point that I remembered reading about the smell that people report in Bigfoot sightings. I told my friend about this, she is (or should I say was) a non-believer. I then decided to look around for tracks that maybe what we saw on the left and right of the road was indeed a Bigfoot. So, I went to the right where there was a creek and looked around but the whole time I was doing this I felt uneasy like something was watching me and the smell would follow as well.

Didn't find any tracks on the right so I decided to go up the hill to the right. My friend was amused and decided to join me. We walked up the hill and it was then that my friend stated that she felt something odd... like being watched. Then we heard a rock hitting rock sound like we were having them thrown at us. This sound was loud! There was no one else around up there! We hurried back down to the truck and left.

I have no doubts that what happened up on Cordova Pass to us was indeed a Bigfoot. I have not been back to that same area since however, I do plan to go this year only this time I'll not only take a camera, I'll also take a video camera and tape recorder as well. If anyone else has had an experience in this same area I would like to hear about it! (If you've had a similar experience in this area, please use the comment form below to post a comment - Editor)
