Location: Tiller Trail highway to Tiller Turn left on South Umpqua Highway. Go approximately 8 miles east to Johnnie Springs road. Sighting occurred on highway at that junction.
REPORT DETAIL
Description of event: This is a second hand report. The witness explained that she and three other adults as well as one adolescent child were coming home from a swimming hole above the location of the sighting. The creature came up from the river to their left and crossed, left to right in front of the vehicle, approximately 100' in front of them. The creature moved fluidly across a paved highway in two large hurried steps and went up a very steep embankment with no trouble at all. The witness (verified by her husband as we spoke) that the creature was covered head to toe in long flowing hair approximately 2' in length. The creature was said to be over 8' in height. No smells were noticed and the witnesses all decided together that "No one would believe them" so they did not report the sighting until years later. I have spoken with all 4 adult witnesses who all told the same exact story which I found to be very credible.
