Description of event: Watched a herd of Elk with a five point bull for three days feeding at dusk along tree line across canyon(600 yds.). On fourth day(day before opening day)not a sound. No birds,insects,coyotes,pumas,bears,nothing. Suddenly out of the tree line WALKS a large ape-like creature taking enormous strides quite casually across a huge clearing in the trees, diagonally down the canyon side. Quite astonished, after watching creature through my scope and binoculars for three to four minutes,turned and ran up from opposite canyon side.
