REPORT DETAIL

Description of event: I put my head lamp on and took my small dog out to go potty next to the condemed house in the grass out front of it, and suddenly my dog ran behind me scared. Then i heard a very loud.. Very close strange whoop type call, WoooOO! WoooOO! WooooooooOOOOOOO! I told my dog to heal in a normal outspoken voice, alarmed yet alert I backed us up to the car (thank god my dog listens well.) It called again, just as loud..just as close. This time i caught the direction it came from, seemed behind the house where the elk normally bed down. I decided I didnt like how close it was. So I gave an agressive dog bark to deture it from advancing my direction. Never saw a thing with my bright head lamp. Nothing spooked, nothing moved, nothing made a sound. Meaning it wasn't scared of me. I know it heard me call the dog. So it wasn't scared of me to begin with. My dog is small and isn't scared of much, for her to run behind me so quickly is out of character for her, that's what tipped me off. I havent heard it since.. Tho its not the first time ive felt..uneasy, im a believer in spirits and thought maybe it had something to do with the condemned house. Nope... Its very alive... The elk fear it obviously and so does my dog.
