Description of event: Rip's friend Mike was at Surprise Lake, (T6S R5E Sec. 27, elv. 4567 Ft.) SE of Estacada, OR, late last July with a girl friend. On the far side of the lake at a big big "V" between the trees, they found long hairs that were soft brown and copper with some white hairs. Mike guessed that something big had gone between the trees. They heard a crashing in the woods, and spooked, left. The WBS will take an outing to this area soon, as several incidents have occured nearby.
